Construction spending in the United States rose by 0.8% in September, according to preliminary data, seasonally adjusted, published Monday by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
On an annual basis, construction spending posted a decline of 12.1% at end-September.
Private residential construction, which represents over a quarter of spending was up 3.9% on a month for a decline of 26% a year.
